1. Who we are
KonexKard provides digital business cards and optional networking tools. This policy explains how KonexKard collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when cardholders, visitors, and people using Event Mode interact with the service.
2. Information we collect
Information cardholders provide. When you create a card or account, we may collect the name, professional title, company, email address, phone number, website, social-media links, profile photo, logo, and other card content you choose to add. We also receive account and support information you provide directly to us.
Information shared through Event Mode. A person who scans a card may choose to submit their name and contact details. We collect that information only when the person actively completes and submits the form; scanning a card alone does not submit those details.
Information collected automatically. We may receive basic usage and device information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service, such as browser type, device type, approximate network information, pages viewed, and technical error records.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to create and display digital cards, authenticate accounts, power Event Mode lead capture, send account and service emails, provide support, maintain security, diagnose problems, and improve the product. We do not use contact details for marketing without the appropriate consent.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal data. We share information only as needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. Our principal service providers include Supabase, which processes database and authentication information, and Stripe, which processes payments. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
5. Event Mode and contact data
Event Mode clearly presents the information requested before a visitor submits it, and the visitor may decline by not submitting the form. Submitted details are made available to the cardholder whose card was scanned. That cardholder is responsible for how they subsequently store, use, or contact that person, including obtaining any consent required and complying with applicable privacy, anti-spam, and marketing laws. KonexKard does not authorize cardholders to send unlawful or unwanted messages.
6. Cookies and tracking
KonexKard uses session cookies and similar storage technologies that are necessary to keep users signed in, remember essential preferences, and protect account sessions. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers or sell browsing activity for targeted advertising.
7. Data retention
We retain account, card, and Event Mode information while it is needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, security, dispute-resolution, and operational requirements. Retention periods may differ by data type. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to lawful backup and recordkeeping needs.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may update much of your card information from your account. To make another request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. Data is encrypted in transit between supported browsers and our service. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should protect their passwords and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized account access.
10. Children’s privacy
KonexKard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. When a change is material, we may also provide notice through the service or by email where appropriate.
12. Contact us
